Our success is reliant on building teams that include people from different backgrounds and experiences who can elevate assumptions and ideas with fresh perspectives. We’re dedicated to hiring the whole human, not just a resume. To that end, we look for a diverse pool of applicants-including those from historically marginalized groups. We would like to invite you to apply even if you don’t think you meet all of the requirements listed below. We don’t want a few lines in a job description to get between us and the opportunity to meet you.
About the Team The Dev Tooling team is an internal-facing team dedicated to enabling the entire engineering organization to do better, faster, and safer software engineering, through the development of tooling, services, processes, documentation, or whatever else is helpful. This wide and intentionally-vague charter encompasses a slew of evolving topics. We try to proactively get out ahead and build the tooling, systems and training needed for all our engineering teams to be successful.
Primary areas of ownership: · Development environment tooling · Service development framework and libraries · CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment) · Dev machine setup/configuration/automation · Defining and tracking operational excellence standards The charter is wide, the opportunities for organizational impact are boundless, and we have your back to try new things and see if they stick and do, in fact, make everyone more efficient. If this sounds exciting to you, come have a chat - we’d love to talk about what we’re doing here.
The Role We are looking for a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to help and grow this platform backend team, help define all the internal processes and shape the team culture and daily rituals. You will also have a real impact on the engineering platform, helping evolve our technology stack and build reusable components that help the other backend teams. You will have the opportunity to help build Outreach Prague and contribute to the Outreach brand success.
If you have experience leading efforts to build automation frameworks in distributed, web-based systems, and are a paragon of promoting quality practices and engaging customer experiences, we’d love to talk to you about the opportunities we have!
Location While we are remote-friendly, we remain an “office-centric” company.
