An experienced ophthalmologist possessing a diverse background of academic and clinical training, Dr. K. Michelle Huzella began preparing for her career as a student at Duke University, where she graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science in biology. Subsequently, she completed post-graduate work in pathology with the State University of New York at Buffalo before enrolling in its School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences to receive her MD with the honor of magna cum laude. After graduating, she continued her training through an internship in internal medicine at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center. K. Michelle Huzella completed her residency in ophthalmology at the Brooklyn Hospital Medical Center, where she enjoyed distinction as chief resident during her senior year. Her residency included additional intensive ophthalmology training at Colby College as well as training in uveitis at the New York Eye and Eye Infirmary. Currently, Dr. K Michelle Huzella treats patients as an ophthalmologist with the Maryland Vision Institute and as an ophthalmic consultant with Bella Vision, LLC.
