Joy Chesbrough

Based in Detroit, Joy Chesbrough is an executive experienced in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. She founded and acts as the chief executive officer of Philanthrovation, a consulting company serving nonprofit organizations via a variety of marketing, fundraising, and strategic efforts. Additionally, she serves as principal consultant for development, marketing, media, and strategy at Digital Light Media, a communications firm that works with private entities and nonprofit organizations alike. As principal consultant, Joy Chesbrough executive-produced a Los Angeles-based fundraiser named Dance 4 Change Haiti and coordinated with corporate partners to produce various media initiatives. Furthermore, she served as director of philanthropy and chief development officer for Petsmart Charities in Phoenix, Arizona, where she led all philanthropic efforts for the organization and shaped a multi-channel marketing platform.

Active in her field, Joy Chesbrough is a member of the Association for Fundraising Professionals and chaired the organization’s corporate sponsorship board for its Phoenix chapter. She has also been an active member of Rotary International and the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy.
