Danielo Perez (Austin)

An anatomic and forensic pathologist in Austin, Texas, Danielo Perez holds a bachelor’s in biology and chemistry from Columbia University and a master’s in forensic sciences from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Danielo Perez of Austin, Texas, earned his MD at State University of New York at Downstate before completing his postdoctoral training at such institutions as Stony Brook University Medical Center and Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Following his education and training, Dr. Perez joined the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office as an assistant medical examiner. Through this position, he spent one year conducting forensic autopsies for unexplained, unattended, and unnatural deaths. This granted him a great deal of experience in performing forensic autopsies, evaluating blood tests, reconstructing death scenes, and testifying on certain cases. Danielo Perez subsequently began practicing as a forensic pathologist in Texas, and he is currently working on establishing a consulting business.

Throughout his career, Dr. Perez has maintained an active presence within the professional community. He belongs to the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and the National Association of Medical Examiners. He has also given numerous presentations over the years and served as a clinical assistant instructor at both the George Washington University Medical Center and Stony Brook University Medical Center.
