As a QA Engineer at mx51, you’ll ensure our platform meets the exacting standards of Australia’s leading financial institutions. Working closely with our Engineering team, you’ll drive quality initiatives and shape the reliability of critical payment solutions.
We’re looking for a versatile and driven QA Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support the delivery of our payment products and solutions through functional and exploratory testing, whilst working closely with other teams such as Engineering, Product and Delivery.
You will get to work on a mx51’s InStore products ranging from Android Applications to Integration solutions with third party Point-of-Sales (POS) systems. You will perform manual and explorative tests to ensure product quality across our in-store products, ranging from integration with third parties to Android applications and dashboards.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Develop, create, execute and maintain test cases, test plans, test scripts and other QA documentation to ensure that all products, software applications, and systems are thoroughly tested
Performing thorough functional, regression and exploratory testing of mx51’s products
Identifying, recording and communicating bugs to developers and product managers
Managing and testing third-party POS products through certification
Liaising with internal development and product teams to identify potential product risks, limitations and improvements
Continuously improve the QA process and procedures to ensure that products, software applications, and systems meet the highest standards of quality and performance
Work closely with the development team to ensure that all products, software applications, and systems meet design specifications and customer requirements
About You
Experience as a Test Analyst or QA Engineer particularly in testing Payment products, device testing and/or Android applications (banking, finance or EFTPOS terminals)
Experience in testing both web-based and/or desktop applications
Experience with test planning and managing test execution for products/systems, and managing end-to-end testing
Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman
Ability to debug and troubleshoot issues independently via logs
Experience testing third-party payment integrations and point-of-sale systems
Experience working in a fast-paced agile environment
Communication - you will be effective in your written and verbal communication when interacting with your team and other stakeholders across the business
Problem solving - you will be open-minded, curious, and adopt a ‘seek to understand’ approach when tackling people-related challenges
Expertise - You love the software engineering craft and in particular back end development. You have significantly contributed to the engineering of production-grade microservices
Adaptability - you adapt quickly to changes within the business environment, and positively champion these changes to your team
