Edelman is looking for a Senior Product Director of UX to lead our user experience initiatives and carry out some responsibilities of a Product Owner. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Product Management, this role combines strategic oversight of UX design with the agile execution of product development. The ideal candidate will drive the user experience vision for our products, ensuring they meet high usability and design standards while also fulfilling the strategic product owner role within a scrum squad.
Responsibilities:
Lead the UX design vision for Edelman’s Trust Stream product, ensuring that we deliver exceptional user experiences and align with our strategic objectives.
Act as a Product Owner within a scrum squad, overseeing the agile development process from ideation through to launch. This includes managing the product backlog, prioritizing features, and working closely with cross-functional teams to execute product strategies.
Foster collaboration across design, engineering, and research teams to develop innovative solutions that meet user needs and business goals.
Incorporate user research, market analysis, and usability studies into the product development lifecycle to enhance product-market fit and user satisfaction.
Define and monitor key UX metrics to inform decision-making and measure the impact of UX improvements.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the competitive landscape and industry trends to ensure Edelman’s products remain leaders in usability and design.
Adapt to changing market conditions and technologies, employing creative and strategic thinking to navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
Qualifications:
Over 8 years of experience in UX Design, Product Design, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering user-centric solutions.
Experience in a product owner role within a scrum framework, skilled in defining product backlogs, prioritizing development efforts, and aligning team objectives with business goals.
Strong leadership in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with engineering, design, and user research teams.
Demonstrated capability in strategic thinking and analytical leadership, with an ability to drive innovation in product development.
Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting complex design strategies to senior executive audiences.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
Deep understanding of agile methodologies and a user-centered design process.
Familiarity with the latest trends in UX design and technology.
